This edition took longer than we expected. Last year, it was a random day when I was on the talk with one of the VUEmber and based on his input, we decided that the 05th edition of the magazine VUE will be Black and White. That person made my life so easy. Thank you, FKP.

The black and white medium was many photographers favourite medium for years, it is still now. That famous line from Ted Grant which is “When you photograph people in colour, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls!”, this line is still applicable. For me, black and white photography is more about the high contract, actually highest contrast some time. When we shoot in Black and White, we reveal the viewers how to look at the subjects and scenes which make them stand out. Regardless of its portraits where Shadows pulls your mind to see the darker side, or landscape full with patterns, texture or interesting elements, and much more.

For this special edition, we put our deepest thought and spread it as vast as we can to find the best talent to feature on the cover. This is where Alia Mehboob came who’s black and white work in the photojournalism field showed a stunning side of her work. IN the feature artists, this time, we also did something unprecedented. Instead of 2, we are featuring 3 artists who are FAKHARRY KHALID PERVEZ, HABIBULLAH QURESHI & ABDUL MOHSEE RAWASIA. All these 3 artists showed their extreme talent and captured some stunning images using light and shadows. In last, we also featured 14 best images of our VUEmbers which speaks volume.

And the best part of this magazine is that ….. It’s FREE. In this challenging year of 2020 which is impacted due to COVID-19, we decided to give this world and photography community a gift & support in the form of this free edition which will bring a smile on all faces.
